what if we used a spot out of fairfax


my main problem is that fairfax cops are huge sticklers, so i wouldnt wanna get out there, get bored, try to go home and end up getting pulled over...talk about a spoiler on an already bad night (and i'm sure this has happened to many people before)

 

How about Loudon county... its better then fairfax.

Let's just have a dragva meet. Just tell your close friends about it, and don't post it up on all of the other boards that you subscribe to. That might make it a much smaller (and hopefully more self contained) meet.

 

Well, that guy is trying to set up the meet in Woodbridge right off of 95 so it would really only be a little bit further for people to drive to get there and he is working with the cops already.
My point about the cops was, if they are going to be there anyway...get them involved instead of sitting in a dark corner on the other side of the parking lot. Tell them we will give em coffee and a snack or something.
It really did look more like a chucky cheese there than adults with cars.

 

Next meet needs to be away from residential buildings, regardless of wherever its held. Maybe one of the commercial buildings out off of 28 by Dulles?? Its only maybe 10 mins further then FFTC (or closer, depends on where you're coming from). Will anyone be able to get permission from a site manager to use their lot out there??

Reason I suggest along there by Dulles was that as I was driving down 28 from the Greenway Friday night I looked over and saw a bunch of commercial buildings w/ huge empty parking lots...and no residential complexes in sight of the commercial buildings, thus the chance is severely dropped that someone will call in a noise complaint. Also the area looks to be fairly rural compared to Fairfax (thats probably b/c Dulles Airport owns most of the land around that road). What are people's thoughts on this?

 

i was thinking why dont we do it JDM TYTE Wangan style and have a meet at a rest stop off of a major highway?

At a rest stop we would be dealing with the state police and usually they are even way bigger assholes than some place like fairfax county(hard to believe huh) so we would jsut get fucked with there too.

 

The closest rest stop is I-66 in between 28 and Manassas...and at night that rest stop is overflowing with tractor-trailers stopping off to sleep for the night (the trucks almost always are parallel parking on the shoulder of the interstate at night starting at 9:30pm to sleep for the night b/c the rest area is already full). Furthermore, truckers hate import tuners b/c of the way we slice thru traffic. That rest stop is super small to begin with, so it definitely wouldn't be able to handle the crowd that the meet would attract.
