FYI, you can get a mid 90's Infiniti J30 VLSD and it'll bolt up to stock axels. Just swap the rear cover. You can get one for around $250-300 but, the vlsd doesn't hold a candle to a tomei, cusco, kaaz, nismo LSD.

pntbalmatt, thanks for the witty posts. I got a good laugh. You and I can meet up and have a "bandwagon only" meet. wOOt!
i just need someting clarified, why do you guys tune your cars? do you take them to the track? maybe a few of you do and you have fun going in a straight line down that strip trying to shave off a fraction of a second off your best time, but is that what the entire tuner sceene has turned into? what happened to all the hard core street runners with balls? back in the good old days when any two tuned cars saw eachother on 66 they would floor it? when big stacks of cash were exchanged at metro? people did burnouts, drove fast and got chased by the cops? "but the law is sooooo strict now, you go to jail!" GROW SOME BALLS! "it's dangerous!" LEARN HOW TO DRIVE! "i had friends die racing man!" i had one friend die racing and two died as a sideffect of it, and it still hurts to the day but they died by what they lived for. maybe i'll die doing it too, maybe some other racers will take me out, maybe i'll get struck by lightning, but i won't sit at home and wait till i get a heart attack at 70 something. you can make whatever argument you can but i still think that just about the time everyone got brainwashed by the police, their balls fell off too...
maybe i'm just at the wrong place...
and bimmer guy, dragva.com security shirts? f'in nazi
i've still never met a bmw driver who races their car
"the ultimate fudge packing machine"
because this will piss off a lot of "responsible" people:

E36DJ was joking about the security shirts; it came up in another thread. Go to Summit Point or just about any local auto cross and you'll see BMW's there. Oh, I forgot, you only "take it to the streets".

first, it seems like i'm definitely on the wrong forum
second, F the track. every cent i have goes into my car, i don't have $ to go to a track. i lived off of f'in mac&cheese for a year so i could save enough for a down payment. nobody bets $ at a track.
third, can't say it about everyone here but it seems like the nova sceene has gone down the drain. i get into more races at school in harrisonburg. it's a huge farm for christ's sake!
fourth, deeseetoo, i go to JMU, the land of milk and honey. you have to be a real looser not to get layd there...but i'm sure you could pull it off...
i'm pretty sure this will be my last post so i won't cause any more trouble. although my opinion of this forum is based not a small number of postings, i do not like the vibe i received from it in general. everyone is real friendly untill you talk about actual racing (track or street). it's a nice all show and no go board...
