theres a detailing place my friend works at around tysons.. i dont know what its called. but ive never heard bad about it

They do that, and a good place will also clean the small spots that are hard to get to in your car. Basically if you take it to a good place, your car should look just like the day it came out of the factory after they are done with it.

i know stupid question but i was curious if any of you guys have gone through a car wash with your rims on, is that stupid or does it not mess the rims up?

If your rims are quality, good rims, then a car wash will not hurt those things at all. If a rim can't stand up to a car wash, I wouldn't want to have those things on my car the minute it goes above 5 MPH.
