Everybody should of course abide by the speed limit and local laws, but I post this up here anyways because people should always be aware of their tax dollars at work.

I have noticed that Fairfax County Police has been unusally vigilant on 495 right at the interchange for 193 (aka Great Falls/Langley exit by the American Legion Bridge).

As I went through the area one cruiser had a car pulled over on the Inner Loop before the interchange, and another cruiser had a pickup truck pulled over on the on-ramp leading onto the Outer Loop. Then tonite as I went thru the interchange, a Virginia State Police cruiser merged onto the Outer Loop from the on-ramp. Usually the cops always sit by a state line regardless of which state you're in, however FFX typically hasn't been paying attention to that area before this weekend. Looks like they are remedying that inattention.

It's a holiday weekend. 'nuff said.

Cops are everywhere, unusually heavily, on this weekend--every year. Lots of revenue brought in by the tickets written on holiday weekends, I would imagine.

 

well also there prom langleys prom is/was coming up soon in a few days i think so that might be why to but greatfalls/mclean area is wird with cops..
