Beats me, usually they're labeled but that might be long gone. It's entirely possible you have the wrong part if it isn't labeled so you can see what it is...

Well, he can read numbers so that's a start. Now we just have to concentrate on working a keyboard and then maybe we can get into more complicated stuff, like nuts and bolts.

You might have them switched around. On the strut itself, there is a little alignment mark that goes into the fork. Check for that. Are you sure you dont have the rears mixed up with the fronts?

You have the wrong stuff and you have one front and one rear.
