There are other places to meet but in all honesty if you can't get people to clean up after themselves, not rev their engines, not blast their stereos, and not race into and out of the parking lot then no one will want you there.

Maybe if the meets were setup through PMs it could cut down the number of people that show up and cause trouble.

If you could get some of the other car clubs involved it might make the meets a little more reputable (350z club, RX-8 club, RX-7 club, S2K club, STI, EVO, ect...).

I was at the Chick-Fil-A meet and would have had no problem picking up trash before I left but I had to go around 8:00pm (my baby was giving my GF a hard time at home).

I've been to several MSCW meets and we have never had a problem (those meets take place in Tysons behind the Mazda/Nissan dealer accross from Fudruckers - great big lot not sure who owns it).

I just find it funny that I've been to raves which were held with loud music, yet they weren't busted or shut down. It was because people were controlled by security. Any large group of people will need to be controlled to some extent. If you guys can't start controlling these meets, there is no point in having them at all.

As was stated once before in another thread unless you are willing to work with the Police on these meets (call them when there is a trouble maker) then they will view the meet itself as the problem, as will the owner of whatever lot you happen to be on.

I don't know if the owner of the Chick-Fil-A would be willing to let us try again on the condition that there is no trash left in the lot.?

I'm not sure how you go about controlling people that have no respect for other peoples property (other than to clean up after them and/or call the Police before someone else does). I'm sure the Loudoun County Sherrifs dept. would be willing to work with us.

I think a website should be made strictly for meets, and you have to be a regular dragva member and show up to a dragva meet in order to get a username. just a thought though.

Well every meet is coordinated, or else there wouldnt be an official meet, just a bunch of guys waiting for a police officer to arrive and give tickets out. Though this does happen at all the FFC meets ive been to. That coordinator usually puts alot of time and effort getting locations, making times, putting it on the site so other people can show up and have a good time. Now some assholes come by, and do some stupid shit like they dont even care to someones lot, this makes alot of the people that put this together really pissed off. Thats why there has to be some kind of way to leave these people behind. And the fact that loser ass cops with NOTHING else to do but search this forum on a daily basis for the sole reason to make more money for the county. Thats just retarded. Yeah you cop, get a fucking life. This is why people take it so seriously. I think if everyone went to a meet, had fun, but didnt do anything wrong...the next time a cop that drove past that meet wouldnt even hesitate about thinking anything wrong was going on.

there's a difference between an organized meet and a DragVA meet

i've been to the DCAWD meet at D&B...and Midatlantic240sx meets are very organized

the MA meets are smaller but the thing in common w/ all of these is that 1. they dont make alot of noise and 2. they have something to do, instead of sitting around in a parking lot all night fucking around
