If you do get pay, then I've nothing againest that since you are a professional. But let's face it, only 5% of "import models" actually get pay. Those are the ones that have been on cover of import tuner or in playboy. You see them in manufacture booths such as Dunlop or BF Goodrich at large venues. The rest of 95% when you ask them why they do it, their response would be for "publicity"..."helping a friend out that has a shop"....pretty much an excuse to be an attention whore.

 

I do have to agree with that. But there are those out there that do have a genuine interest in them. I know im not the only one...but the primary reason I did it was because I was getting paid to go to a show I would already go to...to take a couple pictures with some cars. It was a lot of fun for me and you meet SO many people. I understand what all of you guys are saying about attention whores...and yes thats all fine and dandy...but if people paid you a significant amount of money to take some pictures all day...doesnt that sound like a pretty good set up??? Hahaha.

 

i agree with you,but there are a lot of girls who hook up cars for there on personal fun, but then you gotta understand that most guys look at those girls as attention whores, even though some of them might be, not all of them are..but its just how male brain thinks

but ppl are paying you to look like a ho? what image do you think it puts into guys heads? you could be the most down to earth girl, innocent as hell..but once you do that photoshoot you get labeled

pretty much but not only hot girls, just girls in general...thats how a lot of ppl i know look at it, not saying they all do, but most..thing about it most men are macho pigs, besides the metro's , you can blame mtv for that

 

its just based on that fantasy that guys love a chick who knows about or is into cars. so when some guys see a chick with a hooked up car they think she's just hanging around to get a rise out of a few of the guys drooling and mentally whacking off to her, lol. through the many buckets I've driven/owned, I've been in several clubs and all the female members have always been cool and acted just like one of the guys per say, but once in a while you do get one who trys to play on the "I'm the only girl in the group, so pay extra attention to me", lets be real it happens. I dunno, maybe its just that tiny bit of male chauvanism in all guys that when you see a girl participating in a "guy activity", a lot of times you think shes just doing it to be seen or trying to get some free installs, LOL(which I have seen and also fallen victim to ) "wheres Crystal? after you installed those coilovers and then her exhaust she hasn't come back to one meet" LOL but that can go both ways, male or female though, its just harder to resist a pretty face.

me personally I don't believe that and I accept people on how they present themselves to me. in the end sex has no determination on how a person will carry themselves.

 

I understand where you are coming from and thats the exact reason I got out of it. But as far as girls that mod their cars being attention whores i do think that that is a bit far fetched. Actually a lot farfetched. Why do you think there are so few girls in the scene to begin with? Yeah there are the girls that like the cars and the guys that drive the cars...and im sure some of them dump money into shitbox cars to get attention. But they easily get weeded out when they realize they cant just paint their car hot pink and put a bunch of stickers on it to be liked. Nobody girl or guy, is going to be taken seriously if they cant name the parts they have put on their car. Girls just get flamed faster because they are a girl in a guys world.

 

Truth on that one. Guys need to stop hating on the import models. I mean, at least 1/2 of the people on here probably dream about dating a hot chick who can keep up with a guy on car lingo. I have no problem admitting that I am one of those guys. Its the best of both worlds to me, not only would I be dating a girl who shares the same passion as I do to the same extent or more, but her being attractive is icing on the already great tasting cake.

Those guys who share the same view as I do need to see this as an opportunity to meet someone and expand your networking base, b/c u can never have too many friends (and you never know, you might just meet somebody who will become more then just a friend). I think a lot of guys hate on the import models or car girls b/c in addition to the "hoe" stereotype (which is bullshit, if u despise her b/c she is a "hoe" why can't you get your eyes off of her??), guys are flat out intimidated if the girl has done more stuff to her car then a guy has done to his. "In society, a guy is supposed to drive the tricked out ride, not the girl"....ditch that thinking and open up ur mind to new ideas.
