Default I need a second opinion

i'm trying to figure out if my car is turbo'd or not. its got an intercooler, etc. but theres no documentation on the model of my car, the hood has nothing. the only this i have to go on is this cube attached between the intake and the manifold. i have my suspicions but... heres a link.

Uhm.. from what I can see in the picture. Your car is not turbo. The air filter goes directly into the intake manifold, normally on turbo cars it goes through an intercooler directly into the intake manifold. Are you sure you arent looking at your radiator?

Look directly under what he posts, and what I post. You will see a line, and under that line it says "S60". I'm guessing this is the type of volvo he has. If it is, it's turbocharged...

nah, i solved the question. striped that box out, its just a free moving turbine. not really a turbo cause it has no motor... weird..
and the engine is a 2.4L. if you go by what volvo says its only got 168 stock.

I see it now. The 2.4L is the only S60 that's NOT turbocharged.
