this has been happening for a while now and i CAN NOT figure out what is wrong with my car.

yesterday i drove to the store and parked my car, leaving it on. about 30 seconds later the engine bogs down, shakes at VERY low rpms, and then stalls out completely. i let it sit for a minute, tried to restart it, and its stalls again.

restarted the car again, and threw it in to drive to park in a parking space..... engine would rev but no movement.

let it sit for 15 minutes and now its fine.

my tranny is already slipping, so i dont know if it has anything to do with that, but i dont think that would make the car stall, or would it?

EDIT: my guys... its a 95 taurus. auto trans. 3.0L v6

 

sounds like Head gasket

the whole no movement thing is cause of your slippin tranny

Uh, what kind of car? engine? manual or automatic?

 

I'm guessing an automatic chevy.
