I mean.. the way I see it.. This is what happens.
Guy visits car forum, guy sees some loudmouth bragging about his car that he just dumped a ton of money into. Guy sees weakness in the dudes build, and then starts e-stalking/lurking.. next thing you know he tracks the dude to a car meet and as soon as the guys back is turned.. BOOM car is gone.
how else do you think peoples cars get stolen from Car shows, meets, movie theaters.. etc. Its loudmouths on boards like these who go about showing off every nook and cranny of thier car to complete strangers whos cars get stolen. I bet most of you have NO idea what I drive.. and I keep it that way for a reason (not that you'd really want to steal my bone stock ass car anyway).
For this reason alone, I show no remorse for people who get on boards like this one, Honda-Tech, Honda-acura.net, civicland....etc. Cause they are literally just asking for it.

well yea.. im not saying that hondas are exactly the hardest cars to steal.. but when you go around flashing your shit.. its like a buffet line to thieves.. and in this day and age when people ANNOUNCE when and where they are going to be.. all it takes is for a lurker on a local message board to just roll up there and wait to strike.

This stuff is why I honestly don't come out to any local meets anymore. Too many shady looking people...can't distinguish between the ones pimping the style and the ones who are truly up to no good. This combined with the fact that the police department in PG County can't do crap. At least back in the day they used to be effective while they were beating the crap out of people for no reason. Now their understaffed and don't have the manpower to do a whole lot. Combine that with the fact that a lot of the riff raff that left DC due to higher taxes and such went there.
Honda folks don't feel like you are alone in this. A co-worker's Hemi powered Dodge Ram Truck was stolen from up by Baltimore last week.
