Why? Most of the women I know personally or have just seen around can't drive worth a damn.

That's a side problem to the fact that most women cannot drive.

Do you see women racing professionaly? Sometimes, but not very often. When you do see one, are they successful? No. The only professional woman racer I can think of who was successful at all is Lyn St. James. She raced Indycars in the 80's and 90's and was pretty good.

*EDIT* Lisa Kubo (sp?) is a good drag racer too, but that is because her man builds her fast cars. Doesn't take much skill in my book to drive in a straight line.

 

unfortunately most girls that are into actually going fast are ugly. and most chicks that are into cars are just ricer attention whores. cute cars aren't fast.

 

My girl drives my DSM all the time and loves it, and its not all that slow. She even been a C5 vette once in it w/o N20. She also thinks my GN is sexy as hell, you all need to find a girl like this.

 

Uh, drive a 600whp car down that straight line and tell me it doesnt require a shitload of finesse. I just ran my 443whp Cobra to 13.8 because it's far more difficult than I had imagined, albeit I only got to run once, it was still hard as shit, nothing like almost getting sideways with fats/skinnies on at the track

edit: My car *Should* hit 11s. Thats how shitty I did. But I did misshift and pretty much give up afterwards, the launch/1/2 is a bitch in a fast car

 

I have to disagree with that one. There is actually a lot of skill involved when racing in a straight line. Doesn't seem like there would be, but there is. Some of these 9 second cars could potentially be 10 or 11 second cars if the driver were different...
