Hey everyone, I am considering transferring from the school I am in now down to GMU for their Management program. I know that you guys go to GMU, I was wondering if you guys could tell me the essentials that I should know about GMU.

GMUs management program is pretty good from what I hear so thats a good thing for you. Parking sucks. If your a big baller get a deck pass. Get involved with something on campus if you want to have any sort of social life. If not have fun going to clubs downtown and the fairfax bar sceen. While the school is changing, its still a commuter school, most spend little time on campus when not in the classroom. Don't get suckered into taking friday classes. Any thing else?

how much do the deck passes cost?

And yea GMU is a good academic school, it's becoming more popular everyday. Though as far as social life, you can find stuff to do, especially if you are greek and stuff. But it is definetly not as easy to find parties and social life isn't as well connected like other colleges. Like DSM spyder said, many are commuters and go to class, then go home or go to work. People are less approachable at mason than other schools. Going to other colleges, people seemed much more open and you can pretty much shoot shit with anyone, at mason it's very cliqish still.
