Wow, FCPD is actually making posts on here now. I'm sure this will get interesting. Just curious, is there a particular reason that FCPD is starting to post on here now?? We always assumed that your department in addition to a few others looked around on here on Drag for a while now.
Or, are you just posting on your personal time and just merely mentioning that you are an officer?

So is that pos car a trophy for fairfax county to be showing it off?,thats very pathetic. How is it that you guys rather pull people over for an exhaust, lights, and cars being low, but don't do anything about the MS 13 problems we are having here in nova?from the statistics point of view they(MS 13)are growing in an alarming rate.so instead of you guys waiting for an easy ticket,go and patrol our neighborhoods, and do something that will be beneficiary to our community, not just revenue for the county.

So this is false???
So a couple of months ago (March 28 of this year to be exact), one of my co-workers car was stolen. It was stolen right from the parking garage where I work (Jones Branch Rd in McLean) some time between the hours of 4:00pm to 6:00pm. It was a bone stock 97 Honda Civic hatchback.
The police show up and a report is filed. One week goes by with out any word from the police. Every time my buddy tries to contact the officer to get an update, all he gets is “the officer will return your call”. After about 5 calls to them and 0 call backs, he soon realized that he was just getting blown off and there was nothing he could do. A month later, the insurance company sent him a check paying off the car as it was not found.
Well, on Saturday, 6/25/05, he goes out to get his mail. To his surprise is a letter from Fairfax County, INFORMING HIM OF HIS DELINQUINT PAYMENT FOR A PARKING TICKET ISSUED TO HIS STOLEN CAR THAT WAS ISSUED ON 5/4/05!!!! That’s right, 2 months after the car is stolen, they find it, and what do they do? This issue a damn parking ticket. The ticket has on it the location of the offense. So my friend drives out to the address to see if the car is still there. Sure enough there it is.
So he calls the cops while sitting there with his stolen car, and explains the situation. They REFUSE to dispatch a car. “We are in the middle of a shift change, so no one is available”. Furious, he drives to the police station. Now has to explain the situation to 4, count FOUR officers before anyone would go to check out the car. Finally, he and 1 officer go to the car, he gets his personal belongings out, and the car is impounded.
What I want to know is, how do they not know it is a stolen car?? The steering column is missing, the dash is torn to shreds, and the dumb ass cop leaves the ticket on the front windshield under a wiper blade. How did he not have a clue? The ticket was sent by mail, so clearly the tags were run to get the owners address. How was it not flagged as a stolen car??

My vette was stolen too, only reason I found the car is a manager of an old folks home said the police were there to impound it. Never been able to figure out how they got my home phone number. Reported stolen over a week before.
Who pays for parts for the BMW? My girlfriend drives a BMW and parts on that are expensive. I would hate to think that taxpayers are footing the bill on some sort of police gimmick(parades and schools).

Fairfax County sold the house and the boat and used the money for the public schools. The county kept the BMW for an example towards dealers. The car is used only for show. It's used at parades and such, it is not used for regual patrol. Hope this helps settle the dispute. And by the way, what would you do if there were no police. This entire country would be a mess, so just because you have received a ticket, just remember these men and women are out there to protect you. And most of the stories i have read on here are not true. And lastly, Fairfax County Police do not use unmarked civics on the motors unit, this was probably someone who purchased strobes and is acting as an officer, so be careful.
