well you can have a motor older than your car...and your not suppose to have an obd2 motor with a obd1 car vice versa..but i think thet checking for stolen motors

 

yep same thing happened to me.. i got pulled over and the cop was in a marked camaro.. he checked everything on my car made me pop my hood looked around inside, even crawled under my car to look at my exahust.. by the end i only got tickets for exahust and no front license plate.. he even wanted to give me a ticket for my tint (only 35% not even dark) but he didnt.. also godo thing my car isnt to low i just made it in because he checked it with a ruler.. .there FC for you

 

I thought it was LEGAL to have a motor newer than the car....like a 96 motor in a 95 car.

 

It is. Technically, it has to be same year or newer. They are just checking for stolen motors....

...which I'm sure we can all understand considering how many of our cars were stolen in the past 2 years.

 

I just bought a bare block off of a blown motor that has no VIN plate...what the hell's gonna happen to me if they see that?

 

i have no idea...obd1 motors have no vin plate on them

 

neither does jdm motors.

 

my friend dad is a state popo.. he warn me not to get tint and go too low than 1.5inch and canister exhaust attract them. Recently i just got pull over for having my license plate in my windshield, the cop at the same time try to hit me with speeding, but i wasnt speeding at all. fairfax county are gettin bullshit everyday.
