Hey gotta a question, but first story

So I am driving my car home (low hanging race header) on the start of 66 in dc, I get to construction near the bridge and there are hug bumps where the steel plates are that RIPS off my exhaust, kills the springs that hold the header together and the whold cat back from the header is twisted. Now I know I am in the wrong for having a low car, but what if some guy with a porsche or ferrari???? their car would really have not chance!!!

so I find the manager (non of the workers speak english) and the guy gives me an attitude saying to move my car and its not his problem. Some bystanders had to hold me back cuz I wanted to kill him litterally! anway what should I do??? I mean
A: the road should not be cleared to drive on like that
B: even though my car is lowered what about cars low from the factory???
C: being the "manager" shouldn't you be a little nicer than "not my problem, move your car"

I got a number for somethin but I highly doubt the city will fix it, what do you guys think, any input is greatly appreciated.

 

YOur not goin to win worth a doubt, because of yourcar being to low. They will prolly give you a ticket, if you come forward. JUst next time watch you driving, and dont have your car so low for daily driving if you know yor goin through DC. It is know for having the most potholes, because 1) they dont care about that and 2)it would be to much cingestion to fix one hole and block a n hour of traffic.

 

Thats the thing it wasn't a hole, the road was torn up to be repaived and it was way to choppy and theses steel beams they didn't touch were sticking out really high. Stock sedans were scraping as they drove by while I was under getting the exhaust out from under my car. I tryed to get pics but it was just way to dark. but it was a good 200 foot stretch that was torn up that you would seriously never beleive they would let you drive on

 

well, you can try contacting the construction company itself and sue them.. its easier than the city... take lots of pictures

 

I would contact the city. My brother had a rim bent due to construction and he got the city to pay for a new one. Just keep on them and they will eventually pay up.

Yeah I got pics of the exhaust, the body of the car is fine thank god but from the header back its destroyed, I am going back today to take pics of these mountians in the roads, they shouldn't of had ppl drive on it like that. I have the contact for the construction company so I will call monday and see what I get.

 

Why not just raise your car right now and then make the claim?
