best mir events today
Was a great weekend......perfect weather and the track preperation was outstanding.....two thumbs up to the MIR crew. Started to get really cold at the end of the night and there were so many people there.....even more than last year. The red "pro outlaw" hatch run by Inline Pro was finally running pretty good, still some flaws to work out. Brian Fisher ran the car great and I think he hit high 8's late in the evening at one of his final passes. Jason Hunt was running great with his ek coupe and was the #1 qualifer in his class running high 9's on his last pass but broke some pieces in his throttle body and was not able to continue on. I was feeling pretty good on the track and pulled some better times and did pretty well in the H/M class. Sucks though because my last pass in the second round of eliminations was not until like 10 p.m. Was hopping to meet some drag va people up at MIR but dont really know who people are in person from the site. Here I am from Sunday.

^Sorry bro not sure if I remember your or not.....but you should of stopped and talked. I am always about talking to people and seeing what there is to learn because you can never know too much. Actually that was the first time driving on those slicks, pulled out the bogart racing wheels with slicks that were dry rotted and I had no idea (they would not keep air pressure). These slicks felt great once I got the air pressure correct and put down some good times with them.

Well, there is nothing to hide. It is a stock (internals) 96 B18C motor swap with intake, header, and exhaust. I am keeping it stock until I hit my goal of a 12.99 or better which I feel is very reachable. MIR was actually my second time racing the car and I am starting to feel more confident with it. Built the car from stock about a year ago and ran it for the first time at the NOPI season opener in Dinwiddie. I ran a 13.066@102.02mph with a 1.746 60'. The car is my daily driver 100 miles to and from work so it is treating me pretty good so far.

p.s. I started out at 9 psi, then went to 8 psi, and ended up running at 7.5 psi on 22/13/8 MH slicks.
