Anyone Want to Host a Paint Gathering?
2-Logicl, I've got some putty, but if you need more, I can probably get it for about 50-70% off...
demon2180, it'd be cool if you can help us out and show us what you know.
fc735, I think Omni has single-stage and two-stage paints too. MBC is two-stage, and MTK is single-stage.
slowsilverteg, it'd be really great if you could let us use your garage.
Also, these pints/quart would be good for motorcycles, since they're enough to do a whole bike.
I work for an automotive paint supplier, so if we need more stuff, we could all chip in and get some more. I have a pretty good discount. Most of the paint I've got is good quality PPG that costs about $50-$70 per pint. I can also easily get some fenders/bumpers from body shops I supply to, so we can practice on those.
If we ever put this together, I have a free 3 quarts of golden pearl (white) from the 2000 Lexus. It should be enough for a whole car. This stuff is worth about $300.

I love'd using PPG at my old shop! You guys have Global or the Deltron line? I'm almost ready to paint my car, I need some of the Global tintable sealer and clear coat.
