If you did it correctly wouldn't it mean less turns meaning a more flowing exhaust... meaning more power?

 

exhaust comes down n straight back on most cars, therefore having it contunie straight is the free-est flowing it can be.

 

Angled muffle only helps on systems like the RSR GT2, but that runs under the gas tank and shit, aiming for the straightest exhaust flow possible.

 

Doesn't the 5zigen fireball exhaust sits at a slant?

 

HKS' are tilted a little too...

 

The best exhaust is the one with the least amount of bends possible. Therefore, in exhausts like the Apex'i N1, the muffler is tilted because it eliminates one of the bends in the system. There is no need to tilt a muffler just because you want to look "JDM".

If you like tilted exhausts, then buy one that was made like that. Apex'i N1, J's Racing, Buddy Club, 5Zigen Fireball, etc.
