Anyone here do volunteer work in Fairfax?
I've got to commit at least 8 hours of volunteer work in Fairfax between now and January 16th and was just wondering if any of you guys had suggestions.
Personally, I was interested in being an operator for a suicide hotline, but I'm 18 and they want people a bit older, which is understandable. I'm looking for something where I'm helping someone else directly, not indirectly.
Feel free to share your experience with whatever you've done.

I've worked at foodbanks and such. If you're willing for a bit of a drive/metro trip you could try working at a homeless shelter in DC or something.
i work at fairfax hospital, u can volunteer there very easily, and ive seen the volunteers, u mostly jus sit in a rom and watch tv, untill they send u somewhere to deliver something
dude easiest thing you can do is volenteer for a shift at the local hospital Trama or ER rooms or even the fire stations (i am a volenteer EMS worker [i am currently 15] at age 16 you are allowed to ride in any vehicle at the fire stations its easy work and work at the hospitles since your 16 or older its fun shit dude honestly its well worth it.) its easy to get 8 hours then also
(i am not in fairfax i am in williamsburg)
