Here's a little trick that may help people who get their wheels stolen in the future:
Before you get tires mounted on the rims, tape on an obvious note on the rim with your name, number and address. If the theif or the person who bought the stolen wheels get new tires or whatever, the tire installer will see the note and hopfully will follow the instructions of contacting you without notifying the person who brought them in. It may help catch who stole the rims.

 

What good is that going to do?

The cops file reports and forget about it. Shit, I called them and they didn't even come to look when my car was vandalised.

 

haha cops took fingerprints of my car 5 years ago and still havnt contacted me, Not to mention a couple of months ago also, Im not holding my breath, Cops are truly assholes when it comes to a stolen car, its fucking pathetic, they would rather pull us over for a lowered car and a loud exhaust then the real assholes who are stealing cars and killing people.

Sorry to see this happened to your friend man. I see something like this average once a month - break in, theft, vandalism and it makes me sick.

I have this pointed into our driveway and street and a few in the house. I get 5-10 emails a day but it is good piece of mind. Already have a network so it was no hassle to add - cost was under $100 each

wow.. theft is so crazy around here now. my friends car got broken into a few days ago in the exact same way. a week before.. another friends car was broken into with a broken window. i wonder if its the same group of people .

I had a black Honda civic with like 30 Mexican kids stop in front of my house and just look at my s14. last nighte. And i just saw them drive up the street like 10 minutes ago and repeat the process.
