Yea i'm sorry but i never got a speeding violation before and i was going pretty fast.... i got caught for 87 in a 65 going to JMU on interstate 81..... cop was under a bridge on the shoulder.. i expected him to be in the median.... he pulled a tricky one......I got pulled by a state trooper.. what can i expect on court.. my court date is june 22.... anyone got any input... i'm 18 years old.. turning 19 in july...

Some one tell me whats the worse they can do.. and whats the least they will do... and what they probley will do... my driving record is pretty much clean.. parking tickets.. and one ticket for drifting...and this one ticket back in 2002 for illegal u turn but cop never showed up to trial so i dunno if its on my record... oh and a few exhaust tickets.. argg!

i would go ahead and take a Driver Improvement class before you go to court. i did this when i got my wreckless ticket and the judge really liked it. he droped mine to an improper and gave me community service. other then that.. get a good lawyer!

22 over is Reckless already. VA doesnt play around especially with that charge. Get a lawyer, and take Defensive Driving, and if you dont already have one, get a V1 or Escort Radar Detector.

 

on taking the defensive driving class BEFORE you go to court. I got my recless going 89 in a 55 on the Dulles Toll Road. Took the class and brought it to court and they took my fine away, and reduced my speed to just under recless. All this without a lawyer. Good Luck Though. You got a ticket for drifting??? HAHAHAH thats funny stuff

 

I had a radar detedtor... but it stoped working the day before so i didn't bring it.. thats why i got caught for the first time.... i don't care if i have to pay a fine... i just don't wana have jail time or suspension... i heard if u already have taken driving improvement u can't take it agian for like a year.. i took it in december for a stupid ticket...

yea i got a ticket for drifitng... i was coming to a light and just decided to make a mean more while i did a turn i saw the cop i was like oops... it was "unable to maintain control of vehicle".. stupid.. because i had full controll..... that was what i went to driving school for... oh well .. some one help me i am still freaking out..

Yep add another one to that list. Got caught twice in 1 day, 2 wreckleses. Damn JMU. First time was 81 on 65, im a try and lower that bitch to speeding with speedo recalibration. Gotta find a place that does that though. Second though wase just like you, 87 on 65. I dont know waht im gonna do about taht one. I too have taken driving class already, for a stupid seat belt ticket. Im 19. But this was my first points offense ive ever gotten. Maybe the judge will cut me some slack since my record is pretty clean. But then again i got caught in Woodstock Virginia. Fuck the cop!

 

you'll probably get the reckless ticket, i got pulled on 81 going 82 and a 65, and the trooper said he wouldnt have reduced it to 79 in a 65 if i had ANYTHING on my record. and that's with a pretty good lawyer... good luck though
