Paced you means he is "certified by the state" to judge your speed, fight that. If he radar/lidar'd you thats a different story but it sounds that he didnt since he didnt make reference to the radar. Thats just wrong man, gives a shitty name to law enforcement when they pull this kind of B/S, GL in court.

DO NOT waste your money on a lawyer, it is not needed for this case.

For pace, the cop has to be directly behind you, match your speed and follow for ~1/4 mile...........something like that. I would get your speedometer calibration checked, if its off by a few mph it can help. Also, in court ask to see the cop's speedo calibration sheet. If he does not have it or its off, that definately hurts his case.

What speed did he write on the ticket?

i got up in front of a judge and just told him i was speeding because it was really late and i just wanted to go home. and that i was taking a drivers improvement class

he let me go with improper driving.

did he catch up to you then pace you? how long was he behind you? because when you said he was 8 cars behind you, obviously he had to speed up to catch up to you, and unless you were stupid, you dont speed with a cop right behind you. iono, something to think about?

No, he caught up to me cause i was close to my exit and was slowing down, alot. When i started going off to the right to go to my exit, he then started catching up cause i was slowing down(and he was far away), not the other way around. I was almost at my exit when he turned on his lights.

Funny thing is, iIMO the Arliington cops were way cooler. I got pulled over the week before cause this lady at a light was pulled over by a Cop Pickup truck, which was wierd as i never seen one before. So i was at the light next to the lady, and i didnt have a front plate nor seatbelt cause i was going to catch lunch at a close spot around there. I knew the cop was going to pull me over too since i just happened to be there, stuck at a red. With my luck he does come over, its 2 of them. Well i got at him with a good mood cutting jokes how it must have been his lucky day, poking some fun about it. I lighten up and just tell him im just playing around with him and my car just got painted(i have a G35 my other car). HE was cool about it, and let me go with the seatbelt ticket, cause i kept saying i was gonna go to a spot like a block down. He let me go with the seatbelt one, but said he had to give me the front plate one, but said show the judge or the DA of Arlington that i fixed it and they would cancel it out.

Has anyone ever done that? And yes i've been having a bad beginning 2009. LOL

show the judge a photo of your plate installed and it will be a comply with law. Now the other case with the speed, you will not win. The trooper will have his vehicle calibration sheet with him at court to prove his vehicle is spot on with speed. Its going to be a vetern state trooper vs a young kid with a bad driving record. If you prepay the ticket it will be cheaper. If you go to court, the judge will ask the trooper what your point balance is on your drivers transcript. We he says its negative whatever he will increase the fine. Just sayin.

yes i know, the trooper will have his VEHICLE calibration sheet to show that his pace was accurate and not just a visual estimate

^^^How does that work? I mean there isnt real scientific measurement to show how fast i was going beyond radar right? I mean there is still human error on his part which he could have messed up on, comparedr to say a radar.

The question is how do i show the judge that?
