Default Advice with the perfect racing seat for me....

I have been doing research for some time now and am thinking about finally upgrading my seats. I currently have a 1994 hatch with USDM ITR seats. They are very comfortable for the distances that I drive to and from work but I am now looking for a more aggressive seat. I have narrowed my choices down to either the real JDM ITR black Recaro seats (so that they will match my rear ITR seats) or the Memory Fab S58/68 Carbon Fiber solid back seats. Here are a couple pics of the seats....

JDM ITR black Recaro seats

Memory Fab S58 seat

I have gotten the measurements for both of these seats but I would like to know if anyone on this board has or knows anyone that has either of these seats. I would really like to see them in person before I put out the money for a seat that I want to be 100% satisfied with. Thanks for the help in advance DragVA

The memory fab seat is meant for Japaneese Type guys, meaning if your taller than 5'8 And weigh more than 160lbs your pushing it. I remember talking to memory fab themselves and anything more than 34 or 36 waist your gonna be un comfortable.

The JDM ITR ones would fit better if your more of a bigger guy. Also SPARCO has seats meant for americans meaning they are meant for people bigger than ants. LOL

Also this may be a little off topic, but i rmeember following your car. Werent you running like 12.9 or something? Have you hit the track lately, whats the fastest youve run so far? And how much power you pushing in that little hatch?

Thanks for the reply guys and that is what I was worried about with the Memory Fab seats. I am 6' even and about 180lbs so probably just alittle bit too big. I am running a stock internal 1996 JDM ITR that is tuned on hondata putting down 184whp and 128wtq. I wish I had but have not joined the 12 second club yet. My best time so far is 13.066@102.02mph. I have actually retired her from drag racing because it is hard to race her on the weekends and still be reliable for daily driving to and from work. We will see how things work out with sponsors, but I will be starting a track only race hatch with her or another one with in the next year or so.

Its all good man. The skinnies were my friends but I did own the slicks. I actually sold them to my friend Simon about 2 months ago but he never got around to using them. He has them for sale on here so you should check it out (they are near the bottom of the pictures)....

http://www.dragva.com/forums/showthread.php?t=110163

They are 13" by 8" Rota RB wheels with 22" M/H slicks. I used them for a total of 10 passes and that was it. They have tons of tire left and that can be seen with the wear holes.

Thats all good man, cant wait to see the new setup perform on the track....

Alright, well back on topic....So does anyone have any of the seats listed above that would be willing to chill for a bit one day so that I could see them in person?

I love my stock ITR seats too because they are confortable on long rides yet still hold you pretty good on the turns. Looks like I am leaning towards the JDM Recaros more and more but all the input is welcome.
