Default 99 eclipse HU install help

I tried to put a new Headunit in my buddies eclipse today, got it all wired up for power, and ignition, and illumination/dimming, but we couldnt get any audio out of it through the stock wires. Is there any way to bypass the stock amps? and it doesnt have the infinity audio package, just the stock cd player.

Tomorrow we were just palnning on running new speaker wire straight from the HU to the speakers, but if theres a way to bypass the stock amps itd be appreciated.

there was two wires we didnt use, one white/silver dot, and one black/2silver dots.

You car will still be wired or the package although you dont have it. That shgould not be a problem however. All the wires for the headunit and amp are run in parrallel so no offense, you probably messed up. If you need any help let me know.

All you need is 1 AA battery. Simply touch the two wires you think go to a speaker to either end of the battery repeatedly, if you don't hear anything you've got the wrong wires. This is the easiest way I found to dive into speaker wiring on a car you don't know the color codes for.

Since the codes have been provided you shouldn't need to this.

With the battery, make sure when you hook it up to the battery (use a 9-volt) that the actual speaker cone bumps out, not in, otherwise youve got the wrong wires.
