yeah, his colt is no more.. sad to see it go he's not out of the scene really, just not competing for a while to focus on other things..

and yeah... the colt is hauling ass right now with the tires going double the mph of your car.. can't wait to see how hard it pulls when you get some tires on there that can keep the ground moving with the motor

 

I would say eclipse, talon, laser, 3000gt, stealth. I would consider an evo a straight up mitsu

haha i know. This weekend i am gonna see exactly what fuel pump is in there. Before the GMU meet i am gonna have the FMIC on there, windows tinted and car repainted. Let me know about that paint shop your car got painted at.

 

DSM= 1G galant vr4, talon, eclipse, laser. technically 2gs aren't dsm's, but thats a technicality. 3000gt and stealth's are NOT dsm's. as much as i'd move for my evo to be considered a dsm, it is not. but as far as cars welcome to the meet, all are welcome.
the meet starts at 1pm

 

I'd love to see a new corvette, i know the new z06's aren't out yet . If you are a non dsm (240's, WRX's, SRT-4's, supras, other things) please don't be doing burnouts, be respectful to everyone else. i don't have a problem with other cars coming i like looking at something different

 

anything with a DSM sticker under the hood (meaning manufactured under the DSM label at the 'DSM' plant in illinois).. this includes Eclipses, talons, and lasers 89-99, 3000GT, Stealth, starion, conquest, i believe there may have been another few back in the mid-late 80s.. the DSM brand was dissolved in '98 when the contract started in the mid 80s ran out... the "DSM" plant is now shared by mitsu and chrysler to make other cars..

usually DSMs is used in reference to the eclipse/talon/laser since they are what made the brand name so well known.. since they are 4g63-based, usually anything else with one people just go ahead and lump in there too, like the galant VR4, Evo, and any car with some sort of swap

LDStang, why are the 2gs not considred technically DSMs? They share parts and bodies with Talons and were still produced at the Illinois Plant. Just wondering as I always considered DSMs 1G galant vr-4s, 1g eclipse/talon/laser and also the 2gs. Whats the difference that make 2gs non-dsm?
