FS: 1997 Suzuki Bandit 1200S $1500 - Blacksburg, VA
I need this bike gone before I graduate in a few months. It's beat up a bit, but for $1500 it's still quite a deal.
Be warned, this IS a project, cosmetically at least. It has been down but just a lame lowside in some dirt. Mechanically speaking, all it needs is the carbs tuned, new front rotors, and exhaust gaskets. Other than that she's a beast. Ran a 7.5 at the local 1/8th mile strip with my crappy launches.
If anyone wants a test-ride I'd be happy to give one (cash in hand only, you break it you buy it, well anymore than it's already broken that is). Only problem is until I work out the carb issue it's hard to start in anything under 60 degrees.
Again, another warning: This bike isn't for a new rider or someone who isn't prepared to work on it or pay to have it fixed. That said, if you want something fast and fun as hell for cheap and you aren't concerned about looks, this is for you...
Also, I can throw in one of my helmets and some gloves, maybe the jacket too.
Here are some pics from before the lowside, I'll get some of the after pics when it's a bit more sunny out.
It's got a V&H exhaust, timing advance, corbin seat, and double front headlights. I'm located in Blacksburg, VA, let me know if you're interested.

Here are some pics of the damage. As you can see it's not that bad at all so it would make a perfect fun bike for someone who wants to put a few bucks into fixing it or just a beater bike you don't have to care about.

honestly, if i had 1500, i'd be all over it, just as a basis of a new streetfighter build. those motors are crazy fun, and there's a SHIT TON of things that can be done on b12's.
good luck with the sale, for that price, i'm really surprised it hasn't sold yet.

I agree. If I had the cash it would be mine. GLWS.
