reluctant sale, this was going to be my supermoto project, but money just got real tight, real fast, so it's got to go.

the good- the bike is VERY clean, just finished a top to bottom rebuild of the whole bike, repainted the frame, etc. good tires, good brakes, everything has been gone thru on the chassis. i just rebuilt the cylinder head completely.

the bad- motor is not in the frame at the moment. needs a piston kit ($120) and a cylinder bore ($30). unfortunately i don't have the money to finish the bike. the ONLY other thing it needs is a rear fender, which can be had for next to nothing.

i'd be willing to do the install of the piston kit for free if buyer supplies the piston kit and pays for the cylinder bore.

the bottom end of the motor has been checked out, and has no problems. with a new piston kit installed, the motor will be virtually brand new.

book value of this bike is about $2400, so for quite a bit less than half that, you'd have an almost brand new bike. like i said, i'm willing to do the work needed free of charge if i can get this sold quick. just supply the $150 in parts and machine shop fees. unfortunatly time is an issue here, so if this doesn't get sold in a week or two, i'm going to have to part it out on e-bay. my loss, your gain, this is a VERY nice bike for under $1000 total investment.



like i said, motor is not in the frame at the moment, but with a piston kit, will be ready to go. i just don't have the funds to finish it.

trying to make a local sale first. my friggin phone just got shut off b/c my broke ass couldn't pay the bill on time, so i'm just trying to get the thing gone. just got caught off guard by a MAJOR financial obligation, so i'm just trying to play catch for the money i didn't plan on having to spend. in all honesty, if it's not sold in a week, it's getting parted out. i can make about $1200-$1500 off of it on e-bay no problem. sucks, but i gotta do what i gotta do.

 

Hey man-buddy of mine gave me a good idea--Bring it to the auction on Saturday morning in Chesapeake off Military Hwy. I'm going to bring the R1 up there and try to auction it off--I'm not getting any bites right now and i need my shit sold too. If the auction does'nt work i might part my bike out too.
