Pictures: http://s626.photobucket.com/albums/tt349/bucherj - The photos honestly don’t do this car justice. I’m no photographer and the car must be seen in person to be truly appreciated.
This is the last year of the hand built motorsport series BMW’s in North America and is extremely rare, especially in this year/color combination. I have read that there were only 248 of this color combination produced. The 1993 is different from the previous years in that it includes staggered wheels from the factory, as BMW motorsport door handles, and M style mirrors.
See: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmpX2iqhZlM and http://mmm-five.net/Articles/Articles.html for more information on this series of BMW’s.
Although this car is in immaculate shape, it is 16 years old. It has a couple small dings and scratches. The leather could benefit from a good cleaning because it is white, but has no rips, tears, or anything of the sort. The leather on the drivers side door panel is beginning to peel off but is an easy fix with some 3M spray glue (see photo). The M stitching is slowly coming off on the steering wheel (see photo), but is not a big deal. The wheels on the passenger side have some minor curb rash.
Since I have owned the car the following upgrades/maintenance have been done. I’ve had the car since December of 2006 and have put about 13,000 miles on it. Everything except for the tire install and one oil change has been performed at Delta V Motorsports (http://www.deltavmotorsports.com) in Richmond with all receipts available. I have a folder full of receipts from the original owner as well. I am 90% sure that the car has a Dinan chip based on the records I have, but I never checked to confirm it.
Dinan short-shifter (done in December 06)
Dinan Stage 2 suspension installed with a fresh alignment (done in August 08)
New front/rear brake pads/rotors
Fuel filter, air filter, thrust arms, spark plugs, control arm bushings, cabin filter, upgraded to stainless steel brake lines and ATE super blue fluid, Redline fluid in the transmission, Motul fluid in the LSD, Motul oil in the engine (done in October 08)
Within the last 2000 miles I had the tires replaced with BFG sport tires ($600).
I have put more than $4,000 into this car since I have owned in to make sure it remains in great working order. It needs nothing; everything (including A/C, heated seats, etc) is in complete working order for its new owner.
