It's not an EX.
It's an EM1 Si. By your logic (or lack thereof), this Si would become an Type R by swapping a ITR engine in.

Like he said NICE (EX) Si's do not come with SOHC.... Its an Si converted to an EX Basically just with Si accessories... So its an EX now with DOHC stickers.

ok... this is an si that got converted to a "ex"... and this https://www.vadriven.com/forums/import-asia-65/fs-99-ex-si-coupe-193225/ is a "ex" that got converted to a "si" and he is asking less than you!!!

If I put a 2JZ into my 240SX, it doesn't make it a Supra, does it?

It doesn't matter what engine is in the car. The VIN still says "EMI," and that means it's a Si.
If I put a 2JZ into my 240SX, it doesn't make it a Supra, does it?
