FS: 1G Talon AWD 5sp $1750, great project car
SOLD

Trades: no
Price: $1750
I'm selling my '93 Talon TSi AWD. The car has ~137k on it. I bought this car because I thought I wanted another DSM project, but I just don't have the time or money to put into it so it has sat in the lot outside the shop for the last few months. I drive it around the airport once a week or so to keep the battery up. The car has a clean title but is not currently registered, so you'll need to trailer it home.
The Good/Mods:
6 bolt swap (compression numbers: cyl1-151, cyl2-153, cyl3-154, cyl4-152)
Clutchmasters Stage 3 clutch
Fidanza flywheel
4 bolt rear end
2.5" cat back
2.5" test pipe
K&N cone in open canister
Greddy Type S BOV
Autometer Phantom Boost and Oil Pressure gauges
B&M Fuel Pressure gauge
17"x7" Drifz 517GM wheels
The turbo spools quickly and has no shaft play. Transmission feels great, no gears are hard to find, no noises. Clutch feels good, a little stiffer/quicker than stock, but not too bad.
The bad:
-The ecu is throwing a code for a bad knock sensor which is hurting top end power from the timing being pulled.
-The test pipe rubs on the heat shield in the tunnel underneath the car which makes for a pretty annoying vibration/resonance around 2k rpm.
-The engine has an oil leak which needs to be addressed before I would consider the car reliable to drive long distance.
-Needs an alignment.
Condition:
The interior of the car is rough, the front seats are worn on the bottoms so the stuffing is popping through. The latch for the sunroof is broken, but it doesn't leak. The coolant temp/fuel level/oil pressure gauges in the instrument panel don't work, but the tach, speedo, and boost gauges do work.
The car has been recently painted blue, it was originally black. The driver's side door exterior filler panel has fallen off and needs new clips to be put back on.
missing filler panel, I have the panel, just need the clips to attach it:
Thanks,
Marshall
