FS: 1993 Hyundai Scoupe LS-T Turbo
Name: Nick
Location: Hampton
Means of Contact: PM or 757-236-5016
Miles: 75,000
Price: $500 Really want to sell this thing in the next few days, so lets make a deal.
Additional Information: This is a very fun car. I bought it about 6 months ago and put a lot of work into so i could drive it everyday. It really is a fun car, at about 1900 pounds and it's close geared transmission it really moves. This is the car to have in the Hyundai world.
The car has power windows, moon roof, ac, powersteering, heat. I was looking for a Hyundai cd player to put in it but have not found one yet, but Hyundai radio in it works good. Has new speakers in the back.
It has the 1.5 SOHC Turbo engine in it. I rebuilt the head once I got it and replaced everything, the head was port and polished at this time as well. I also replaced the Garrett T15 with a Garrett GT15R turbo. The stock numbers on it are 115hp and about 120tq @5psi. It has a cast iron block and 7.5:1 compression ratio, so you know what that means... I turned up the boost. I have not had it dyno'd so i am unsure of its actual hp and tq now, but it will suck you in your seat pretty good.
The bad. The front main seal was leaking oil since I have owned it. I went to NAPA and bought a new oil seal a few weeks ago and set a Saturday aside to put it in, once I had everything apart and go to put it in, I found out NAPA gave me the wrong seal. I went to Hall Hyundai the following Monday to get the correct seal, but they did not have it and were having a problem finding the right part number for it
. So I coated the old seal with rtv and put it back in, but it still leaks. On a good note, I replaced the timing belt while I was in there.
Also, I have never been able to get the alternator to work. I replaced it once I bought the car, but that didnt work. So it has to be the wiring or relay, I am not sure.
***UPDATE***
I just had a massive oil problem. The motor seized up on 64 this morning and caused an internal part to shoot through the block. I am listing it for sale for $500 right now unless I find time to put my other motor in. I have a spare motor that is going with the sale, it is a 10:1 compression n/a motor.

Also, the these cars are VERY easy to swap different engines into. The BETA 2.0 engine is the most common swap into this car, that plus the turbo is an awesome combination.
