240sx 1996 6.5k s14 67k miles
there is no reason to remove the heat shield, all there is to it. removing shield helps getting to top 14mm converter bolt without bending it or cutting it . especially common if person who has never done it ... if i am being sold a 67k car i will question its mileage beyond shadow of a doubt(not really possible but i will do best i can to have peace of mind for myself). i am NOT saying OP is lying. i dont understand why you're taking simple question personal and acting like a smart ass
MT gauge clusters dont have O/D symbol on them.
yeah clutches can wear out at 67but as yousaid yourslf not from normal use which is exactly my point. so if there is a different reason for replacement such as oil contamination from leaking rear main or input shaft seal i'd like to knwo it

As I said before...its a gauge overlay....meaning its a cover that was placed over the stock gauges. The stock gauges just has a black film on the two lower portions, so you can't make out what symbol goes where.
Here is an example:

M/T or A/T the gauge cluster will be the same....the only difference is the bulb is gone from behind the O/D stencil on the M/T. Then there is the difference between SE and base....but his is clearly a base model (with added options).
Didn't mean to come off as a smart ass....really haha
