Hey guys I usually don't post on VADriven as I am an active member on Nasioc, scprs is my username. The prices are firm due to loan difficulties. I hate to have to do this but I need to sell my newly bought STi (march of this year). And because of some changes due to school and car problems that have arisen. So here’s the story I did a compression test and all cylinders are around 110 which even is good that theres no broken ring land however need to be re ringed. Following I did a leak down test 1 & 3 were around 5% leakage and cylinders 2 & 4 were around 10-20% leakage. My assumption along with a Subaru Technician is the driver side head needs to be replaced as some noise is also heard from around this area. I would be happy to fix this however the cost of the car will go up. The mileage of the car is 135,*** and it has some visual flaws however overall the car looks like it has 60 thousand. Several dings here and there (I think a total of 5) and on the front right of the bumper there is a large scrape. I would suggest a re spray on the front. And the passenger side rear timing cover has a crack in it however i have one that I will just give to the buyer. The timing belt was done about 10+15k ago with a new water pump.
My main purpose for getting rid of this car is the affordability while in school and the insurance premiums! Having to pay for a car is the last priority and I plan to get the new designed STi in the future when I graduate! So let me know about any questions you may have. My email and phone number are on the bottom of this thread.

Re: 2005 Subaru Impreza STi
Doesn't the engine have to come out of the car to fix all that?
