1990 Miata with 1.8 swap
Name: Scot
Location: Waynesboro
Means of contact: five-four-zero-six-four-nine-one-three-five-nine
Price: $ 7,500 NO TRADES
Description:
134k
PW, PS, VLSD
Soft and hardtop
Front and rear factory R-package spoilers
This past winter I replaced the 1.6L with a 1.8 from a 2000 Miata with 54k using the Flyin Miata swap kit. At the same time deleted the factory ecu and maf and replaced it with the Megasquirt system. Swap was done by All Aspects and dyno tuned there.
Maintenance done at time of swap:
-New aluminum radiator
-Coolant hoses
-Timing belt/ accessory belts
-Water pump
-Plugs/wires
-Alternator
-Flyin Miata clutch w/ 10.30 fly wheel
-Motor mounts
-Thermostat
-Valve cover gasket
-Rebuilt and bench tested fuel injectors
Mods:
1.8L
Megasquirt
Custom Intake
Koni's w/ Ground Control coilovers
FM high flow cat
Racing Beat car back exhaust
Racing Beat sway bars F&R
Hard Dog rollbar
15in Chaparal wheels with Hankook C71's
When I bought it I had it repainted and it's been garaged/covered since the day I purchased it (1/05) . For the last several years it has been trailered to events, and it hasn't been driven in the rain unless it started while at an event. Car is set up to run in CSP or SSM. I've been running SSM because it was going to be supercharged by the summer, but I need to thin the fleet before anything else is done. This season the car hasn't finished out of the top 5 in raw time.
