VMP Dinwiddie 1/4 Mile: August 12 DURING THE DAY BEFORE THE AIK MEET
http://www.virginiamotorsportspk.com/RUTSM.html
Virginia Motorsports Park is hosting another RJ's Production event. This is the 4th RJs event of the season. I went to one other one this season (the Shakedown). I got over 10 runs in withing 90 minutes. I took an hour break, then ran twice more. Then i left because i accomplished what I needed to get done.
These events are great for newer racers to just go out and practice their skills without having to worry if they will get 2 or 3 runs in because its so packed. And I dont need to preach to the experienced racers about test and tunes. But, I will mentions that this is a good one to go because its a daytime test-n-tune so it mimics import event conditions better than night test-n-tunes.
If you have never been to an RJs event, its a lot of fun. You have a lot of grudge matches, you have a band or 2 playing, everyone brings their BBQs, people just go out and have fun at the track. Its good ol' fashion fun and relaxing. There is no segregation of imports/domestics/tuners, people do not look down on you in disgust; these people enjoy the sport of racing and do not turn anyone away. COME OUT AND HAVE FUN.
IF YOU NOTICE. TEST-N-TUNE ENDS AT 3PM. THAT GIVE YOU 2 HOURS TO GET TO AIK. Also, no one says you have to stay until 3pm.
I will be leaving my house at 8:30am. I stay in Virginia Beach by Mt. Trashmore if you didnt know. I'll be happy to give people a ride, but will not be able to tow anyone up as I plan to be racing. If you do happen to break, i will make arrangements with you to drive back up and tow your car home for you.
The schedule:
Gates Open: 9am
Test and Tune 11:00am to 3:00pm
Prices:
Admission $17.00
Children 6 & under FREE
Test and Tune: only $28.00
Quick 8 Race Entry Fee $50.00 (If your vehicle runs 5.20 or quicker entered in Quick 8 Race entry fee plus 3 crew will be refunded.)
