Wintergreen isn't that much closer than Mass, I just don't like Wintergreen, don't like the slopes as much, just personal preference, and, Wintergreen is always more crowded. A friend of mine got a pass for Wintergreen and they have blackout dates, Mass's is good anytime except Saturday during the daylight hours, otherwise you can use it whenever. But Mass is really close to Cville, about 30mins away

Black Diamonds at all the resorts ive been to, tend to not be busy. The only thing I dont like about Mass is the long bunny slope to the lodge. Its too flat to keep speed, especially with a short board.
