Actually, the car scene withstood the F&F movies, it was the ridiculous 564 sting that caused all local law enforcement to have zero tolerance for "hangouts". Because obviously, if you are hanging out with other cars, you are also engaged in dangerous street racing. Fuddruckers somehow okay'd the gathering on their property.

Third; by the time you made it to the car meet it was mostly the same inner circle of friend who met up and then went to dinner since we didn't want to freeze our balls off all night.
