Dyno Challenge - Saturday, October 24th
There will be an open Dyno Challenge held at the 7th Annual Fall Classic on Saturday, October 24th, at Newport News Park (if it rains on Saturday, the Dyno Challenge will be held on Sunday, October 25th).
The Dyno Challenge will be open to all vehicles...both participants of the show and spectators. Modern Muscle out of Martinsville, VA is bringing out their mobile chasis dyno for the event.
The cost will be $80 per vehicle...with 25% of all money raised being donated back to CHKD (which is the charity of the VA Fall Classic).
Awards will be given to the top HP and TQ numbers, so come out and show what you've got.

Re: Dyno Challenge - Saturday, October 24th
This is the first year that we are trying the dyno. We are always trying to find new ideas to make the VA Fall Classic better for both spectators and participants, and this is one that we came up with for this year. If it does well this year, we'll keep it. If not, this will be the first and last year for the dyno.
The prizes are for the top HP and TQ numbers. I haven't seen the awards...and won't until the day of the event. I don't know if they will be trophies or plaques. In the past, the awards for the show have been plaques.
The price ($80) is comparable to, and even less expensive than, other places that I checked in the area (and no, I won't give out names). I know that there are probably some places that I didn't check that are cheaper...there always are. But remember, this is a mobile dyno that is coming out of Martinsville. All of the mobile dynos that I have seen have been a bit more than conventional dynos. And, also keep in mind that 25% of the money raised from each and every dyno run will be donated to the charity.
This is a 2-wheel dyno.
As for the number of runs, either 2 or 3 will be done. That will be at the disgression of the guys running the dyno...based on how good the first couple of pulls are, number of cars waiting, time constraints, etc.
I'm not sure about the A/F. I'll have to check.
Again, this is a new event for us for the show.
