looking to buy a good crankshaft for a d16y8, the current y8 engine im wanting to rebuild has a spun rod bearing and need to replace the crank. please let me know if you have one that is in GOOD USEABLE condition. willing to travel a little to pickup. pm or post in this thread if you have one.

damn, i can use that crankshaft but since i have a y8 block i would have no way to check the oil in the car since i would have to use the z6 oil pump.. you dont happen to have the z6 block to go along with it do you ?.

 

i got my reman z6 crank with matching main and rod bearings at autozone for 200 ...
ever think on going that route..?

 

i have a JDM SOHC d15b block with crank and mains, rods, pistions..

just needs rings, and bearings!!

 

yep sure did, went to every damn store around. no one has them in stock and no one is showing them available anywhere, So i would have to send my bad one into them for reman, but at that point i just decided to look for someone with a spare. even looked on ebay and i found one, but it had a different sized snout diameter and i dont know if ill be able to find a crank pulley to fit, didnt really want to take the chance.




might let you know on that, just not sure if i want to lose any amount of displacement on this single cam build.
