Built LS1 needs work...
****SOLD****
My buddy had this engine in an RX7 that unfortunately began to spin a rod bearing on the dyno. As soon as it as realized that the engine was having troubles it was shutoff stuck back on the trailer and taken home. There the engine was yanked out and a fresh one put in due to time constraints on fixing this one.
The engine still does run but needs to have the bearings addressed. It was shut off very quickly and never run again from that point, so the damage should be very minimal, hopefully only new bearings but I would suggest checking the rod well.
Not 100% sure on the value of this engine, so feel free to make offers, but we'll start it out at 1100 obo.
The specs are as follows:
-2000 Camaro SS Ls1 5.7
-Has approximately 65k miles on it
-226/226 112 LSA Camshaft
-Patriot stage 2 LS6 Heads with dual valve springs and titanium retainers
-ARP Head Studs
-Chromoly Pushrods
-LS6 Intake Manifold
-LS6 throttle body
-SLP LS6 Oil pump
-SLP double roller timing chain

Re: Built LS1 needs work...
I think its gray area but yeah I consider built to be more along the lines of the rotating assembly.
GL w/ sale. I might be interested but I just picked up one a few weekends ago to put in my Rx7. Does your friend have a FC or FD and how is he controlling the fuel and spark? Stock PCM or standalone?

Re: Built LS1 needs work...
Sorry, don't really need anymore longguns at this moment...
And yes I agree on the built part, I had intended to put semi-built, but eh whatever it lists the mods.
