hey all im selling my 2004 GTO M6 with the ls1. the car is stock except for a GMM ripshift shifter, a LPE intake and a few poly bushings. the car has only 26k miles on it AND it has a freshly rebuilt ls1 with around 5 miles on it. the car is in very good condition, and looks and runs great. the car has been cared for very well with only mobil 1 every 3k. never been to the track.


i cant afford to keep her anymore so i need to sell this thing FAST so im setting the price at 16k which is 2k below blue book.

i have a few other parts i could throw in if someone is interested.

 

why was the motor rebuilt if the car had only 26,000 miles

 

and been very well cared for and only had mobil 1

when it had a bigger cam it broke a valve spring and dropped a valve which cracked a piston. we pulled the motor out and had it magnafluxed and all work done on the motor done at a professional machine shop. and there was no cracks on the block and only one scuff that came out with the honing. the crank and pistons were balanced, new main bearings, rod bearings, and cam bearings, rings, the usual stuff. i have pictures of what was damaged.

it was done right, i was expecting to keep it till i was out of college, but now i cant afford the payments so im just asking what payoff is.

it runs great and i encourage anyone seriously interested to come check it out for themselves.

Wait....that wasn't covered on the powertrain warranty? Or was the warranty voided by putting in a bigger cam? I'm confused.

 

Putting a bigger cam in it will definitely blow a manufacturers warranty out the water.

Good luck with the sale, I noticed it on LS1GTO.com this afternoon.

Quick general GTO question: Do all GTO's come with color matched guages like that? I've only seen them in Red.

 

it wasnt covered because what broke was something i replaced with(valvesprings), besides i dont really trust stealerships to do major work.
