1986 Ford turbo coupe
Name: Carson
Location: Charlottesville
Means of contact: This thread or PM
Price: $1,400 (without all of the extra parts)
Description:
I got this 1986 T-bird a few months ago from a friend of mine; it is black, 2.3 turbo, and is 5-Speed. It has about 155k miles. At the time that I got the car did not run. It turns out the car needed an ignition switch and fuel pump hose replaced in order to get it running. Since I have had the car I have replaced the following: Motorcraft spark plugs, Motorcraft spark plug wires, Motorcraft fuel filter, stock replacement fuel pump, stock replacement fuel pressure regulator, cooling fan switch, ignition switch, right side window lift motor.
The T-Bird comes with a nice Panasonic CD player and Rockford Fosgate speakers installed. It also has the sought after Marchal fog lights
Overall the car is in decent shape for it’s age, but it is not perfect. It runs and drives like it should, and all of the glass is good. The clear coat is pealing on the top surfaces of the car. The tires are all matching Coopers and have tons of tread but they are starting to show some dry rot. The interior is fine but a few panels need to be put back on the doors. Both front doors have a little bit of rust at the bottoms, and there is a spot about the size of a half dollar above the gas door that is missing it’s paint and has surface rust. They car has both heat and a/c but neither currently work. I bypassed the heater core because it was leaking, and the a/c is not currently charged.
Here is a list of extras that will come with the car:
- Walbro GSS340 (used)
- Aeromotive adjustable FPR that bolts to the fuel rail like stock (used)
- 2- Large VAM’s (p/n E7SF-12B529-AA)
- ECM- LA3
- 2-Programed ride control covers and sensors
- Autometer Boost gauge p/n 4303 (NIB)
- Energy Suspension Transmount, and Trans Crossmember (NIB)
- New replacement Heater Core
- New Radiator hose
- ARE Basket weave wheels
- Factory 10 hole wheels
I am sure I am forgetting a few things so please let me know if you have any questions or if you would like to come see the car. I am located in Central VA. The title is clear. I want $2,000 for everything.

Re: 1986 Ford turbo coupe
Anyone interested here? I would like to sell this so please make an offer on the package, or if you want more wiggle room on the price I can keep stuff that I could see easily seperately (i.e. wheels, cpu, energy suspension stuff, vams)

Re: 1986 Ford turbo coupe
I am willing to sell the car without all of the extras for $1700 obo. You would still get the car the way it sits, the stock ten holes, and the factory parts I have for the car (interior pieces, hoses, heater core, etc.)
