trooper chasing motorcycle hiy by car
Well I am sure the other trooper did not run him over on purpose and yes we would be sitting in jail because we have no business chasing down a biker in a high speed chase.
It was an accident so I don't think the trooper is going to jail. Additionally, as a police officer you accept certain risks of the job such as you might be injured by a criminal or accidentally by another officer while performing your duty.
I know cops accept certain risks with the job but if the cop had been hit by a civilian there would have been charges filed.
oh and you have every right to assist in the capture of a fugitive as long as you don't obstruct justice which is what the other officer did
Edit:
I used to run, but have since been caught. I will never do it again, after the whole ordeal I put myself through. It's not worth the seven years that a charge stays on your record. Plus, insurance is a bitch now!

I don't believe that for a minute, sorry. I know of people who I never expected to do it, that have. EVERYBODY makes that split second decision, and sometimes you don't go with the best choice. So, if you don't mind, please explain what a REAL rider means exactly. Thanks.
