what kind of exhaust/ carb kit/ air filters are you using?
are you running stage 3 (pod filters, no airbox)?

well, box stock oil cooled suzuki's always have a dead spot in the midrange. you can tune it out, but it'll involve alot of trial and error. any time you tune for one particular rpm range, you're also going to comprimise power at other rpms too. that's just the way it is. solving one problem may create others. if it's not really "choking" or misfiring, or anything like that, in all honesty, i wouldn't be too terribly concerned. all i4's have a deffinate "hit" of power at certain rpm's, some are just more noticable than others.
