Summit Point results thread..."BIG Pics"
I will do a write up about the weekend tomorrow after I've had some shut eye. These are some pics I took around the paddock. We had a guy take some professional pics of us on the track, I will add those when I get them.
It's def a right hander....................
I wonder why all the bikes on our team end with a "14"? ???
My pit guy hated me for this......................but no more noisey chain rattle! :thumb:
Decided to go with the Tire Sox.........the rest of the team runs Chicken Hawks, so needless to say they weren't too pleased......................

dude, i walked by the trailer when i got there and everybody looked mad busy and moving around so i didn't want to interrupt. my girl and i went and sat right where you can see the straight, and then first and second turns like all day. lot of fun man. i walked by when i was leaving and didn't see anyone. but definitely post up results. i'm not positive which class it was but i think it was a blue/white gsxr1000 who won two different races. that dude was FLYIN!

He's a good friend of our race team, sold me my first set of track scrubs for my first race day and sold me my back protector. Great guy; he'd give you the shirt off of his back.

Well, I had a great weekend! I loved this track, even with the crappy concrete patches..............
We had one guy wreck on Saturdays race and he broke his ankle. The thing that sucks is that we had another guy ride his BRAND NEW R6 Raven to the track Saturday morning because the tranny on his race R6 was shifting on it's own. So we all spent all this time stripping both bikes and getting the new one ready for the race, and he wrecked on the third lap. I think the bike had maybe 500 miles on it..................
I learned to start as far in the back as possible because I'm guaranteed to move up in position. Starting out front for me is a no win situation as I am pretty slow out there. I had a great time on Sunday especially because of the Superbike race. I was in the back fighting with about 3-4 guys and had a blast for all 8 laps. Getting the from the guys you've been fighting with after the fact is a great feeling.
I bought some tire warmers and I think they made a difference; even if only in my confidence in the tires. And don't ever leave the paddock untill third call.................I hate sitting there doing nothing while my tires might be getting cold.
I also bought some Woodcraft rear set's that I will be installing before next race.
I think my 6 year old carburated F4 with the only mod being a K&N air filter faired pretty well out there. My problem's were suspension issues. I bottom out my front forks during hard braking and my can is wayyyy too low. I can't tell you how many times I came into turn 1 or turn 6 and my right peg would just slam down after going onto or coming off of the conceret. NOT much fun when you have to control the bike like that while in a tight turn and screaming in second gear............
I almost lost it once when I was coming out of the carosel(sp?) and trying to pass someone on the outside of turn 9. I was on this dude's tail all the way through because he was so damn slow in the turns, so I decided to get him off of turn 9 so I'd be clear for turn 10; it was the last lap of the Superbike race. My F4 started going buck wild as I was screaming in second on the outside trying to pass this guy. The clip on's were trying to throw me and I barely regained control only to see him driving away. I tried to get him in turn 10..............but I couldn't catch him.
All in all it was a great weekend and I can't wait till next month!

I want to drag knee. That was my plan for this season, but it'll have to wait. good pictures CB. How much do the tire warmers cost, and to they really do that much warming as to get the rubber sticky the whole way around?
