You don't need a new bike; just different profile tires like we talked about. And I'll ride with you anytime; you rode your own ride without trying to impress anyone! Kudo's to ya!
And when some tells ya there's a high speed run coming up you might wanna do better than 60mph so you'll see me at the gas station!!!!!!!!!!!! Just playin'!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As for the tires; the profile you have makes a HUGE difference for how the bike will react and perform. I should know; bought my F4 with the stock Dunlop on the front and a Contiforce on the rear. Both with hardley any profile to them.
Put on some Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa's for my first track day and almost put the bike over on my first real turn!!!!!!!!! I hardley had to move the clip on's to get her over and dipped into the turns!!!!!!!!!
Even the brand new 04 R6's come with a front that I wouldn't run. Not enough of a profile for me...................
I have 17 inch rims and here's what I run:
120/70ZRX17 front
180/55ZRX17 rear
As for stickiness and brand types...........................depends on what you want. I can handle my tires pushing on me through the turns, but they'll last ALLOT longer than some super sticky stires. If you can afford expensive tires every few months than go for it; not me. I don't even buy brand new race tires for track days; scrubs are all I need.
