so i broke down
i actually have a bike with real paint on it now, not just my usual rattle can job. looks pretty freakin sweet IMO. pics to come tomorrow hopefully, it's a bit dark out right now.
thanks to Road Reapers Pres (i think he's the pres anyway) Danny at DOTS tattoo for the hook up on the paint. i can't for the life of me remember the painters name, but dude does some sick work, and definately gets my approval. it's smooth as a baby's butt. the guy takes alot of pride in his work, and i can appreciate that 100%.
i'll post pics soon and let everyone see what they think, but i doubt the pics will do it justice.

if someone copied my work, i'd just light it on fire
I assume it's still at EMC and not at your place yet? I'll make it a point to see it in person...
The title was a bit misleading; I thought you got stranded by one of your projects..

that was kinda the point

and no, the bike is at my house. along with me, and a big file, trying to get this damn bushing to fit this shock.... on a saturday night....on payday.... and i'm running out of smokes... and beer....
my projects have never left me stranded. handicapped once or twice, but never stranded. such is life when you build bikes from piles of random parts.

I wish I could say the same thing, the EX has stranded me 2X's thus far. Hopefully no more...
Werd. I sincerely appreciate you working on that, especially on a Saturday night where there's 101 other things you could be doing. I can't remember what beer you do or don't drink, but if you let me know, I might bring you a case or two...

no prob man, keeps me out of trouble.
i have to run out for a bit today and pick up a few things. my drill battery crapped out on me last night, and i have to go find a replacement so i can finish up your shock. i'll let you know as soon as it's ready to be picked up.
yeah, but then i'd have to start choking people
hey skrooz I have heard a few things. I was thinking about upgrading the rear on my 5hundy to a SV650 shock two but I was talking to my buddy Rodger last night who has raced AMA for the past few years and he told me that putting that rear shock on there esepcially if it raised the rear end was like having a death sentence. He said it will make me more liable to tuck the front end. He said I should go ahead and rebuild the front end but leave the rear alone. Opinion?
