Snagged a 2006 GSXR750 yesterday.
I posted a thread a while back about buying a 1000 back in Feb. I just wasn't excited about it and after riding it at VIR, I didn't like the way it handled, and a few other little things that didn't excite me. I had it for sale for maybe almost 2 months and someone finally picked it up yesterday.
I had been talking to a guy about a trade on his 750, but he ran into some issue and had to sell the bike outright. The timing couldn't of been better. I gave him a call yesterday and told him I had cash in hand and he met me half way to Summit Point from my place. Sold a bike and bought one all in the same day.
I was iffy on getting rid of the GSXR1000, but I couldn't be happier with the new 750. I used to ride a 2006 GSXR600 on the track, and I really wanted something around that size with a little more 'umph'. The bike is beautiful and I got a SMOKIN deal on it. Another plus is that I have some street bodywork I am going to throw on it and get a little more use out of it between track days. The bike has everything I want, and then some. I would of never bought the wheels on my own because of the price, but am glad they came with it.

Once its on the street, I definitely plan to be around a little more.

Yea, like I had said, I was wondering if selling the 1000 was a bad idea. I was worried I wasn't going to find anything on par with it, but it couldn't of worked out better. This 750 was way more the direction of what I was looking for, even without the wheels.
I found that the wheels usually go for $1800ish, plus $720 in brake rotors, plus sprockets, ect. Crazy money.. I would never spend that. They are sexy though.
Once I get it on the street we will have to get some rides together going.
