Default Should i do this mod.

Ok, so, i've been thinking about going naked with the SV. But, hmmmm... I would run into problems like, mounting the guages, or getting after market ones. Also, the main reason i wont do it yet is Lightning... I highly doubt a aftermarket HL will light up the road as good as the stock one. SOOOOOOOO... here's what i thought. of.

This is my bike now.

What i was thinking about is to cut the fairing Right where it has that curve, and shortening the windscreen. . . Here's a Fuged up Chop of what i have in mind, PLUS a belly pan (i wouldnt look good with out a belly pan)

An aftermarket headlight will be just fine as far as lighting goes.

if you're going to start cutting things up leave the stock fairing and buy a rashed one on ebay to toy around with. As long as you don't use cheap $20 fog lights you should be able to find something that works decent for lighting

On svrider.com a ton of people are using the buell dual headlights with a fly screen and there's kits you can buy that are pretty much bolt on dual headlights instead

Seriously, the Buell headlight with the fly screen is incredibly sexy. Do it!

IMO,that buell frontend looks too big on the 650. If you're going to mod the front end, I say get rid of the fairing/headlight/gauge cluster and get a twin headlight setup like this...EBAY LINK ... and if you don't want to mess with wiring gauges, just get rid of them.
