I do hope his surgery goes well and your husband is able to get most or all of his mobility back ...... little piece of advice I always use and it hasn’t failed me yet “pray for the best but be prepared for the worst”.

oh yes thats been my motto all my life. Im preparing myself for him to never walk again and to be depressed and push me away. But im hoping that he lets me help get him thru all of this. and that will continue to be my outlook. Im prepared to stand by his side no matter what this hard road throws our way.

Thank you.

Jake and EHE-SOHC you both show your immaturity level by this continuing spat, while it is mildly entertaining you are not helping yourselves. Jake, if you are more mature then him you would have said it once instead of letting him goad you on. EH3-SOHC You fucked up stunting in the tunnel, enough said. If you did not want to be made fun of you should have 1. never done it, 2. never posted about it.

Damn, shit really goes down when you're offline a lil bit.

To the mom, wife, any friends of his on the board, I'll say a prayer for him, hope he pulls through just fine.

Well, I really don't know where to start... (Hi, this is my 1st post)

I was going to come on here and give my 2 C's to everyone who was making unecessary comments w/out knowing what's really going one, or the people personally invovled. BUT (wanted to get that in there before someone got trigger happy ), seeing as how things have calmed down quite a bit, and most seem to be on the same page, so to speak, I figured I'd give y'all an update...

Just so ya know, I'm one of B's best friends around here. There's a small group of us that have been hanging out for nearly the past 4 yrs now. I guess ya could say, by now we're all practically brothers. He's made some major improvements in the past week. He looks tons better than he did last Sat morn (as you could imagine). We are eagerly awaiting his back surgery, but it has been post poned due to him catching a fever a couple times (he needs a good, steady temp for at least 24 hrs).

From what we've been able to piece together, he was headed west on 64, lost control close to the entrance to the tunnel (for what reason we still don't know). His bike went up against the concrete barrier and basically rode it most of the way down the tunnel. Speed was obviously a factor, but how fast exactly, we'll probably never know. His right hand and knee were messed up pretty good, mainly due to the contact w/ the wall. His left hand was broken as well (maybe from the recoil in the handle bars after hitting the wall??). He had surgery on both his hands last Tues, and it went very well. His jacket has nearly no scuffs/scratches/ tears in it, too.

We have organized a charity ride for him and his family. Though I saw an earlier post about one, I have no clue about it. The one I do know about, is @ Boneshakers on Apr 13 (Sun). I have forgotten the time's, but I'm sure we could get that pretty easily.

As it's been mentioned before, even us friends and family agree that it was a foolish mistake, but it was a mistake none the less. No one's asking for you to condone him, but please don't condemn him. Just think if it was your best friend, brother, father, etc... Wether it was on messing around on a bike, racing in a car, or doing something your parents wisely told you not to do... we've all messed up @ some point or another. So again, lets keep him and his family in our thoughts/ prayers and let us celebrate the 3 hero's that risked their lives for a stranger!

Sorry this was such a long 1st post..... Hope to see y'all out there livin life on 2 wheels (or however many you have).
